Learn how to install the Medentic QES Connect Desktop App on Windows, Mac, and Linux

Updated over a month ago

To make your workflow more convenient, we developed the Medentic QES Connect Desktop App. The app allows you to connect your Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) to your Medentic profile, enabling you to sign documents securely over the cloud.

Benefits for Bulgarian Medical Practitioners:

  • Issue medical documents from anywhere: Whether you're using the web or mobile, you can keep your QES connected online, allowing you to work seamlessly across devices, anywhere you are.

  • Submit dental treatments, prescriptions, and medical notes: Quickly send medical notes and prescriptions through the Bulgarian National Health Information System (HIS.bg).

  • NHIF monthly reports: Submit required reports to the Bulgarian National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF.bg) via the Personalized Information System (PIS).

With the Medentic QES Connect App, you can even give permission to selected users to sign documents for you if you aren't able to.

Automatic Updates

The app automatically installs updates and recommends new versions through its interface, so you don’t need to worry about staying up-to-date.

Download Instructions by Operating System

Windows

To install the desktop app on Windows:

  1. Open the Medentic_QES_Connect.exe file from your Downloads folder.

  2. Choose “Run” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Mac

To install the desktop app on Mac:

  1. Open the Medentic_QES_Connect.dmg file and drag the Medentic Desktop App to your Applications folder.

If you encounter an “unidentified developer” error:

  1. Go to System Preferences › Security & Privacy › General.

  2. Select “Allow applications downloaded from anywhere.”

Note: Apple’s Gatekeeper security feature may block installation or upgrades since our app is not currently Apple-certified. For more details, check Apple Support.

Once this setting is changed, you won’t see the “unidentified developer” warning, but you will still be prompted to grant permission when opening the app for the first time.

Linux

To install the desktop app on Linux:

  1. Select the file and click “Install Package.”
