Adding an alternative email to your Medentic account can be a useful way to ensure that you never lose access to your account. An alternative email can help you recover your password or receive important notifications if there is an issue with your primary email address. Below are the steps on how to add an alternative email to your account.

Steps to Add an Alternative Email

  1. Open Medentic on your web browser or mobile app.

  2. Click on your profile name in the top right corner.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select your account to enter your account settings.

  4. In the profile settings, locate and select the "Security" tab from the left sidebar.

  5. Under the "Manage alternative emails" section, you'll see an option to add an alternative email address to your account. Click on the "Add alternative email"

  6. You’ll be prompted to enter your current password for security reasons. Click Next

  7. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to enter your alternative email address. Type the email address you’d like to add and click "Add email".

  8. After adding the alternative email, you will need to verify it. Check your alternative inbox for a verification email from Medentic and click “Confirm Your Email”

  9. After clicking the verification link, you will be redirected to a page where you need to confirm the alternative email. Click Accept

  10. After confirming the alternative email, you will also need to confirm it from your primary email.

  11. You will receive a secondary confirmation request at your primary email. Open this email and click on the Approval Link button

  12. After clicking the verification link, you will be redirected to a page where you need to confirm the alternative email. Click Accept

  13. Once confirmed, both emails will be marked as verified, and you can now use your alternative email for account recovery and notifications.

  14. Now, after the confirmation steps, the new email will display with a "Verified" label, indicating it is successfully linked and ready for use in account management.

Why add an Alternative Email?

  • If you forget your password or lose access to your primary email, you can use your alternative email to recover your account.

  • Adding a backup email increases your account’s security by ensuring you can still receive important notifications.

  • You’ll receive all notifications, even if there are issues with your primary email.
